I met Sharon in May of 1998. I put an ad in Yahoo Personals. It read--Would you rather go backpacking in Desolation Wilderness than spend the night in the city with dinner and the theater? Do you like to jump naked into ice cold alpine lakes and streams? Do you like to wake up in the middle of the wilderness screaming "I love life?" She answered "Heck yes!" She wanted to be in the backcountry more than me. She is the most incredible person I have ever met. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in May of 2000. We were married July 29, 2001, She died in my arms in May of 2002. I am a photographer because of her.
